ABOUT ME
Cecilia Walker is an interior designer and textile designer, currently working as a Director on the Global Workplace Strategy and Design team at News Corp. Aside from her projects at News Corp's HQ, her scope of work includes the commercial design of over 1M square feet of commercial office spaces including co-working offices, residential renovations in New England, New York, Los Angeles and an eponymous textile and wallpaper line.
A former fashion industry veteran, Cecilia worked with companies including Laura Ashley, Inc., Ann Taylor®, Levis®, Keds® and local designer, Hadley Pollet, giving her a multi-faceted background in home furnishings, apparel, footwear and accessories both on the retail and manufacturing sides of the business. In 2015, Cecilia found herself sketching again, igniting her passion in product development and bringing her full circle to her roots in fashion, but this time leading her onto the path of launching hand-screened fabric and wallpaper designs.
An Associate member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), Cecilia was born in Washington, D.C., spent her childhood in Los Angeles, went to high school in Milwaukee, eventually landing in New England, and now commutes between Boston and NYC. She is also a mother of four—three of whom are triplet girls!
Cecilia earned a BA in Economics and Art History from Boston College.
Fun fact: In 2015, she competed with Tracy Foley (Water & Main) on a TV episode of "The Endless Yard Sale Showdown," in a race to find the most valuable antiques and vintage items.
